Who publishes this site

This site is published by Swanson Reed (SR Tax Services LLC), an R&D tax advisory firm that competes with other advisers. The legal entity and its address are on the contact page. The conflicts of interest page explains what that interest means for what you read here.

What this site is

This site explains how R&D tax advisers are paid and what to check before you sign. It is general information. It does not give advice about your business, and reading it does not make you a client of the publisher or of anyone else. The disclaimer sets this out in full.

The site recommends no adviser, including its publisher. It keeps no list of advisers, no ratings and no referral service.

What you may do with the content

You may read, print and share any page for your own use, and link to it.

You may use and adapt the email scripts, the checklists, the scorecard and the request for proposal template for your own business, free of charge. You may send them to an adviser you are dealing with.

Please do not:

• sell the content, or put it behind a sign up form or a paywall
• republish pages or downloads as your own work
• use the site, its name or its downloads to suggest that the publisher recommends, approves or has reviewed any adviser or proposal
• copy the site in bulk by automated means in a way that affects how it runs

You may quote a short extract if you name the site and link to the page you quote.

Material from official sources

Some pages quote or link to forms, guidance and legislation from tax authorities, regulators and courts. That material belongs to its publisher and is used under the terms that publisher sets. If you reuse it, check those terms.

The tools and downloads

The calculator, the fee test and the health check run in your browser. What you enter is not stored and is not sent to us. Every figure they show is illustrative and rests on the assumptions shown beside it. They do not give a score or a rating of any adviser.

The downloads are starting points. Read them against your own engagement letter, and take advice before you rely on them for a decision.

Accuracy and changes

We check pages against official sources and list those sources on the page. Country pages show the date they were last reviewed. Law and practice change, and a page may be out of date by the time you read it.

We may change, move or remove any page or tool. If you find an error, the corrections page explains how to tell us, and lists the corrections we have made.

Sister site

Liability

We take care over what we publish, but we do not promise that the site is complete, current or free of error, or that it will always be available.

To the extent the law allows, the publisher is not liable for any loss that results from using this site or relying on it. Nothing in these terms limits a liability that cannot be limited by law, or takes away rights you have as a consumer.

Which law applies

These terms, and any dispute about them or about this site, are governed by the laws of the State of Texas, United States, without regard to its conflict of laws rules. Any such dispute will be heard by the state or federal courts located in Tarrant County, Texas.

We may update these terms. The date at the top of this page shows when they last changed.
