Last updated 14 October 2026

This notice explains what personal data this site collects, why, and what you can do about it.

The short version

  • You can read every page and use every tool without giving us your name or email address.
  • The calculator, the fee test and the health check run in your browser. What you enter is not stored and is not sent to us.
  • Every download is direct. No email address or sign up is needed.
  • The site sets no advertising or tracking cookies and runs no analytics.
  • We hold personal data in three cases: when you email us, when you sign up for updates by email, and for a short time when you visit, in the web server's records and the session record that keeps the site secure.

Who is responsible for your data

Swanson Reed (SR Tax Services LLC) publishes this site and decides how personal data collected through it is used. Its address is on the contact page.

We do not build profiles, and we do not use your data for advertising.

Updates by email

The box on the sign up form is unticked. We add you only if you tick it. Every email will carry a link to unsubscribe, and you can also ask us to remove you through the contact page. When you unsubscribe we keep a record that you did, so that we do not email you again.

No updates are being sent yet.

Who sees your data

Messages are read by the people at the publisher who run this site. The email address on the contact page is shared with the publisher's sister site, ResearchCreditIntegrity.org, so a message to it reaches the same team. The related sites page explains the sister site. We do not sell personal data.

The companies that host the site and deliver its email handle data on our behalf and under our instructions.

How long we keep it

  • Updates by email: until you unsubscribe. After that we keep your email address and the date you unsubscribed, so that we do not email you again.
  • Emails you send us: kept only for as long as we need them to deal with your message and any follow up, such as a correction, and then deleted.
  • Web server records: kept only for as long as we need them to keep the site running and secure, and then deleted.
  • Backups: copies in the nightly database backups are deleted after 14 days.

Cookies

The site sets only the cookies it needs to work. The cookie policy lists each one.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, the law may give you the right to:

  • ask what personal data we hold about you, and have a copy
  • have it corrected if it is wrong
  • have it deleted
  • object to how we use it, or ask us to limit that use
  • withdraw your agreement to receive updates, at any time
  • complain to the data protection authority in your country

To use any of these rights, write to the address on the contact page. We will ask only for what we need to confirm it is you.

Children

This site is written for people who run or advise businesses. It is not aimed at children.
